What does unlimited really mean?

Digital Honey's creative design and copywriting services include unlimited requests and unlimited revisions.  This means that you can make as many requests as you'd like, and we'll work through them as quickly as possible.  Once you submit your requests, your dedicated Project manager will review them, to ensure we have all the details required.  Then they'll assign them to your design or writing team.  By default, your requests will be completed in the order you submit them.  But if you ever need to change the order, or prioritize a certain task, or tasks, you can do so by letting our Project Manager know.  We work on your requests on a first-come, first-served basis. They are entered into your design team’s queue in the order that they are received. Your team then works on delivering them.  On average you’ll receive designs or revisions in 24-48 hours with the the graphic design or copywriting subscription. If you’ve got a more complex task, let us know and we’ll provide an estimate on how long it’ll take.  As we work together, and get to know your brand(s) and vision better, the review and revision process will get faster and faster. So you’ll be able to get an increasing number of design or writing projects completed, and only ever pay our flat monthly fee.

About Us FAQ

Billing

Can I get a discount if I get multiple subscriptions?

Absolutely. We offer a 10% discount when you add 3 more subscriptions to your account. Just keep in mind that this offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offers.

Do you have different tiers of service?

At Digital Honey, we aim to keep things simple.  We have three tiers for website design,SEO, and Copywriting services.  One tier for creative design, concierge services, and digital advertising.  You will know what flat monthly is ahead of time to avoid surprises.

Will there be any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees at all.  You will only pay the flat fee on a monthly basis.  All taxes and other fees are included in the flat fee.

Which method of payment can I use?

At the moment we only accept ACH transfer or credit cards.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about payments.

Am I in a long-term contract with you?

Our website design is a one year contract minimum.  The rest of our services are are three month contract minimums then monthly after the first 3 months.  Our website design service is a 1 year recurring subscription.

What does my billing cycle look like and when will I be billed?

We maintain a 30-day cycle for billing. As long as you maintain an active subscription, you will be billed on a recurring basis, on the same day that your full subscription began. If you want more information on this, or if you wish to clarify any details, please reach out via our contact page.

Why is my billing on a monthly basis?

Digital Honey has a subscription model, which includes month-to-month billing. So when you have an active subscription, you'll receive a monthly bill. In order for you to make and manage your digital marketing requests on an ongoing basis, we require you to have an active subscription. If you have any concerns about your billing, please contact your Project Manager.

How hard is it to cancel the subscription?

Not hard at all. We keep things simple at Digital Honey. Just email your Project manager. You can cancel at any point in time.  If you have time left on your subscription, you just need to pay for those remaining months.  Need a hand with this?  Just ask.  There is only one thing that we will ask: “What could we have done better?” We ask, because we value your feedback.  Just need a temporary break? But still want access to your Trello board, to remain assigned to the same dedicated design team, and to lock in the existing subscription price regardless of service updates? Consider pausing your subscription.

What happens to my website if I want to cancel a website design & hosting annual subscription?

If you choose to cancel your subscription after any given year then your website domain would be unassigned from the site and the site would be taken offline. If you would like to assume ownership of the website and keep it online, then a buyout equal to your annual subscription cost is required. This would be a one time payment of $1,500, $2,500, or $3,500 depending on your Tiered subscription. After this occurs, the website ownership would be transferred to you.

Can I pause my account if I don't have a lot of requests to make?

Yes, you can! We get it. Workflows change and you don't always need to have an active subscription. But at the same time, you might still need access to your Trello board.  And if you've gotten into a really good groove with your marketing team, you may want to make sure that they're still going to be matched with them when you resume your subscription.  To address all of this we've introduced the "Pause Your Subscription" feature for a flat monthly fee of $50 per month. This allows you to pause your account as of the end of the current subscription period so that there is no auto-renewal.  And it allows you to enjoy these benefits: Securing your current subscription fee, regardless of any changes to Digital Honey pricing.  Having ongoing access to your Trello board, and all of your design files.  Working with the same Dedicated Design Team when you resume.  Making the most of your subscription by resuming when you have more design requests.  To submit a request to pause your subscription, simply email your project manager.  If you still have time remaining on your contract, you will have to wait until your 3 month minimum lapses.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can simply email your Project Manager.  There is only one thing that we will ask: “What could we have done better?” We ask, because we value your feedback.  If you still have time remaining on your contract, you will have to wait until your 3 month minimum lapses.

Can I get a refund if I haven't used my account recently?

We do understand that your workflow will change from time to time, and this is why we make it possible for you to cancel at any time. As Digital Honey is a monthly subscription service after the 3 month minimum, and we provide the opportunity to cancel your subscription at any point, we do not offer refunds due to inactivity.

Billing FAQ

Genral FAQ

Can I get a discount if I get multiple subscriptions?

Absolutely. We offer a 10% discount when you add 3 more subscriptions to your account. Just keep in mind that this offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offers.

How do the subscriptions work?

We work on your requests on a first-come, first-served basis. They are entered into your design team’s queue in the order that they are received. Your team then works on delivering them.  On average you'll receive designs or writing in 24-48 hours.  If you've got a more complex task, let us know and we'll provide an estimate on how long it'll take.  If you need faster outputs, you can add on subscriptions as you need them.

How many tasks will my team work on each day?

As part of the Digital Honey subscriptions, your Dedicated Team will have 2 tasks in progress for you at any given time, and they will allocate 2-2.5 hours each business day to completing your requests. This is for each active subscription.  Now if you need a higher volume of outputs, and faster turnarounds, you can add on additional subscriptions. And this will mean that with each additional graphic design or copywriting subscription, you'll get an additional 2-2.5 hours allocated to completing your requests (e.g. with 2 subscriptions you'll get 4-5 hours allocated to your requests, and so forth). As your team completes tasks you'll see them shift from being "In Progress" to "In Review" and you'll see new requests getting started.

Do you have different tiers of service?

At Digital Honey, we aim to keep things simple.  We have three tiers for website design, SEO, and copywriting services.  One tier for creative design, but you can add as many subscriptions as you would like. You will know what flat monthly is ahead of time to avoid surprises.

What's included with my monthly subscription fee?

With each Digital Honey subscription, you get features that will help you make and manage your design requests with ease.

Website Design- Please see scope of work for each of the three tiers offered.

We know that your design needs can evolve and vary and so we've created one subscription that's versatile enough to handle everything you need.

Which subscription is right for my business?

Schedule a call with our team.  We can learn about what your goals are and what you are trying to accomplish.  From there, we will align you to the best fit for your requirements.

If I have more than one subscription for graphic design or copywriting, will I get faster turnarounds?

If you have 2 creative design or 2 copywriting subscriptions you'll receive two times the outputs as you would with a single subscription.  If you have both a graphic design subscription and a copywriting subscription, keep in mind that the workflows and turnaround times are mutually exclusive. This means that each subscription includes its own specific turnaround times, design or writing teams, and number of outputs, so they don’t overlap (e.g. if you have fewer graphic design requests one week, your writing requests would still be completed at the same rate as usual, as it’s still the same team completing them. Or vice versa.)

What can Digital Honey write about?

Anything! Our writers are trained to write about any topic in any industry.

How much copywriting do I get?

You can receive up to 2,000 words per week.

What if I don't use all 8,000 words?

Our service focuses on the benefits of working with a dedicated writer and editor as opposed to a pay per word service. The estimate of 8,000 words a month is based on the turnaround time of 400 words per business day. If you have requests in your queue, you will continue to receive content at a rate of 400 words per business day unless otherwise specified; if you don't have any requests in your queue, there's nothing for us to write. Words do not roll over, so we recommend using a content calendar to stay on track and make the most of your subscription!

What if I don't like it?

We have a 7 day trial for creative design and copywriting subscriptions.

How many brands do you allow per account?

You can utilize our service for as many brands or projects as you would like.  If you are an agency, you can use our services on behalf of your clients.

How does the 7 day satisfaction guarantee work?

This only applies to the creative design and copywriting subscription.  You sign up, you try us out for 7 days, and you cancel if you decide it’s not the right fit. You are not billed during the trial period. You get billed only after day 7 and the terms are written in the contract. After the 7 days, there is a 3 month minimum.  Our service is delivered month-to-month for a flat monthly rate with a three minimum to start.  So why do we collect payment details when you sign up? To ensure we are only onboarding clients who are seriously considering our service.  During your trial period, you can make 3 requests per creative design or copywriting subscription. 1  request being one design or writing item.  During your trial, you will receive your designs with a watermark.  Be sure to make your trial request(s) as soon as possible so that we can ask for clarification and then work on it, and any revisions you’ll require, as quickly as possible. This way you'll get a good sense of what working with your Digital Honey team is like. And you'll be able to make a confident decision within your 7 day trial about whether you'd like a full subscription.

How do I get started?

Schedule a call with our team, and we will be able to get you set up in 30 minutes.

How long do requests take to complete?

We work on your requests on a first-come, first-served basis. They are entered into your design team’s queue in the order that they are received. Your team then works on delivering them.  On average you will receive your designs or writing request in 24-48 hours.  If you have a more complex task, let us know and we'll provide an estimate on how long it'll take.  If you need faster outputs, you can add subscriptions as you need them.

My business is rapidly expanding. Can you keep up?

Absolutely. If you require more than one subscription to keep up with all your design or writing needs, you can add additional subscriptions at any time. And you can also cancel them at any time after the three month minimum, which means you can scale up, or down quickly.  With each additional subscription that you add, you'll increase the number of outputs you receive, and the speed at which you receive them.  For example, one additional subscription will double the designs you get completed each business day.

Our current business hours are 9am-6pm EST.  Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

I have a really time-sensitive request.  What do I do?

If a request is especially time-sensitive, you can indicate this when submitting your request details. We’ll do our best to bump it up in the queue and advise you of the delivery time.

How Many requests can I submit at a time?

You can submit an unlimited number of requests. Your dedicated Project Manager will review them, to ensure we have all the details required, and then assign them to your design team. By default, your requests will be completed in the order you submit them. But if you ever need to change the order, or prioritize a certain task, or tasks, you can do so by letting our Project Manager know.  We get it. Sometimes priorities shift and deadlines change. So we're happy to be as flexible as possible to help you meet yours.

Who works on my requests?

Your dedicated design team does! Your team is made up of 1 Project Manager and 2 designers who specialize in different types of design.  Based on what you need, your Project Manager will assign your request to the designer best suited to complete it. Once that request is completed, we then move on to your next request.  We fulfill your requests two at a time, on a first-requested, first-fulfilled basis. This way you get what you need first, the fastest. If the priority of your requests ever shifts, after you've made a request, you can just let your project manager know. They will hit pause on your active requests if possible, and fulfill the task(s) that have become more time-sensitive.

What details should my design request include?

Include these details every time for the best results: size, orientation, format (print, digital or video), preferred colours, inspiration designs, and text copy. If it's a video request include your preferred style of background music as well!  The more descriptive you can be, the fewer revisions will be required.

How do I submit and manage my requests?

There are two ways you can make requests.  One way is through our task management software Trello.  The other is via email to your Project Manager.

How many brands can I submit requests for?

An unlimited number.  We're happy to help you with as many designs as you need.

How do I get revisions completed?

Your dedicated design team will take care of your design, from first-draft to final product. And all the revisions you need. Just let them know the details of the revisions required, via email or your Trello board.

Is there a contract I have to sign?

Yes, which send via Docusign or email.  Our website design service has a 1 year minimum.  The rest of our services are 3 month minimum.  After 3 months, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

General FAQ

IP & Confdentiality

IP & Confidentiality

Do you use design templates?

At Digital Honey, we deliver custom designs, created from scratch, or designs that are a combination of custom design and customized stock elements. The particular format just depends on what will provide the best output for the client's brief.  When using any stock elements, we ensure that they are licensed appropriately so that you may use them as the end-user (i.e. not for resale).  In cases where clients require designs for resale, we deliver completely custom designs. So be sure to let your Project Manager know how your designs will be used when making your requests!

Can I resell any of the designs or copywriting Digital Honey creates for me?

If you would like to resell any of the designs that your Digital Honey team creates for you, please be sure to let your Project Manager know when making your design request. Your team will then create your design from scratch, so that you have full rights to sell your design.  For all of your other design requests, where you'll be the end-user, and you will not be reselling your design, your team will either create the design from scratch and/or use stock elements or photos, as needed to meet the requirements of your brief.  Just remember, we double-check every element and stock photo we use, to make sure you’re granted the licenses for them. And we are assuming materials you provide to us are licensed and owned by you. If you do happen to send Digital Honey unlicensed materials to use, remember we are not held liable for the rights of the final design.

Where does Digital Honey get stock photos, videos, animations, fonts, icons, and elements from?

We scour the internet for the best options for fonts, photos, icons, videos, animations, and elements. We use a lot of reputable free resources.  Additionally we use premium stock photo sites which are an $90 value each month.  Whatever the source, we ensure that each element grants the appropriate license for you to use it, as part of your design, as the end-user. If, however, you plan to use your design for resale, please do let us know and we can make sure your design only includes elements that are appropriate for that.

Are things kept confidential?

We never disclose details about our clients. We do however share some of the designs we create for you in our portfolio. If you'd prefer not to have your designs included in our samples, please do let us know by emailing your Project Manager.

Who owns the rights to the designs created by Digital Honey?

It would be you. You retain the rights to all the designs created by Digital Honey for you during your paid subscription. If you would like to resell any of the designs that your Digital Honey creates for you, please be sure to let your Project Manager know when making your design request. Your team will then create your design from scratch, so that you have full rights to sell your design.  For all of your other design requests, where you'll be the end-user, and you will not be reselling your design, your team will either create the design from scratch and/or use stock elements or photos, as needed to meet the requirements of your brief.  Just remember, we double-check every element and stock photo we use, to make sure you’re granted the licenses to use them as the end-user. And we are assuming materials you provide to us are licensed and owned by you. If you do happen to send Digital Honey unlicensed materials to use, remember we are not held liable for the rights of the final design.

How do copyrights work?

You are the owner of all creative work produced by Digital Honey.  You can publish, sell it, distribute it however you wish.

We offer unlimited revisions because we want you to get exactly what you need. But, at times, there can be a disconnect between what you imagine and what you get.

If you find yourself in that spot, here’s what we recommend:

  1. Review your requests: Sometimes a request is missing details or not as clear as it could be. Try providing additional references and details in your revision requests.

  2. Give your designer detailed feedback: Let your designer clearly know what they’ve missed. They’ll work as quickly as possible to have your design revised.

Digital Honey Tip: After attempting steps 1 and 2, if you find that your design is still falling short, shoot us an email your project manager.  We'll review the issue and work to find you a resolution as quickly as possible.

Requesting Revisions

On Trello: Comment, drag, and drop.  Just add the details of the revision required in the comment.  Then move the relevant card from the "In Review" or "Completed" list to the "Requests" list.

On Email: Respond with the details of the revision required

Prioritizing Requests

When you’re making multiple requests, be sure to order your cards according to priority.

Requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, from the top down on Trello. So, if you’re posting multiple requests at the same time, make sure the order of your cards reflects which tasks should be completed first.

Via email please be sure to mention if a particular task is a priority.

Submitting Tasks

Submitting Tasks

How to email a request?

  1. Email the details of your request to your Project Manager

  2. Be as descriptive as possible about your design—from the subject line to the body of your email.

  3. Attach pictures to be used, references, logos and/or assets.

Digital Honey Tip: If you’ll need your designer to select the pictures for your design, be sure to give them points of reference or a description of what you’re looking for.

Need help with making your request? Refer to our request guidelines.

How to Trello a request?

Your Trello board includes:

  • Cards for each of your requests

  • Lists for each stage of the design process

  • An Activity Feed where you can see all of the activity that has taken place on your board

New Requests:

To make a request simply create a new card in the "Requests" list. Include a detailed description and add any relevant attachments.

Digital Honey Tip: Refer to the “Resources” list to help you figure out which details to include.

Prioritizing Your Requests:

When you’re making multiple requests, be sure to order your cards according to priority. Requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, from the top down. So, if you’re posting multiple requests at the same time, make sure the order of your cards reflects which tasks should be completed first.

Revision Requests

Requesting revisions is a simple, 2-step process.

  • Add the details of the revision required in the comments section of the relevant card.

  • Move the relevant card from the "In Review" list to the "Requests" list. The sooner you do this, the sooner we work on your revision request.

Adding Brand Guidelines

You can add your brand guidelines to the "Guidelines" list to make the design process more efficient. Add a new card for each brand you will be requesting designs for. And be sure to include as many details as possible (logos, color palettes, style guides or style references, inspiration images, and designs). We want to know it all!

Inviting team members to view your board

Work as part of a team and need to give others access to your designs? You've got it.

Just let us know your team members' preferred emails or their existing Trello usernames, if they already use Trello. We'll then invite them to help you make and manage design requests.

Pausing & Cancelling Requests

Pausing a request is easy. Simply comment on the relevant card to let your designer know that the request should be paused until you confirm.

Cancelling a request is simple too. If you need to cancel a request, just comment on the relevant card to let your designer know that the request should be cancelled.

Setting Up Notifications

You can set up notifications for individual tasks by opening the relevant card and selecting “Watch”.

If you’d like to set up notifications for an entire list, simply click on the 3 dots beside the list name and select “Watch”.

Notifications will alert you to:

  • All comments from other users

  • Adding, changing, and upcoming due dates

  • Card moves and archives

  • Attachments uploaded to a card (or all cards in a list if you've turned on notifications for a list)

    • Digital Honey Tip: Click on the bell icon, at the top right corner of your board to control the frequency of your notification emails and to turn on/off desktop notifications.

Duplicating Requests

Duplicate requests easily by opening up a card, and selecting “copy” under “actions”.

You’ll be prompted to create a new card title, and to select the board and list to which the card should be added. The board will be your Digital Honey board of course, and the list will be the "Requests" list.

You can then prioritize the request by selecting its position in the "Requests" list.
