About Us FAQ

Billing

Can I get a discount if I get multiple subscriptions?

Absolutely. We offer a 10% discount when you add 3 more subscriptions to your account. Just keep in mind that this offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offers.

Do you have different tiers of service?

At DigitalHoney, we aim to keep things simple.  We have three tiers for website design, SEO, and Email / Text Marketing services.  One tier for on-demand hourly, and digital advertising.  You will know what flat monthly is ahead of time to avoid surprises.

Will there be any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees at all.  You will only pay the flat fee on a monthly basis.  All taxes and other fees are included in the flat fee.  Please review the terms of your written agreement as each service may have certain unique terms.

Which method of payment can I use?

At the moment we only accept ACH transfer or credit cards.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about payments.

Am I in a long-term contract with you?

It depends on the service.  We have different options depending on the scope of work.  Our website design is a one-year contract minimum.  The rest of our services are three-month contract minimums then monthly after the first 3-months.  Our website design service is a 1-year recurring subscription.

What does my billing cycle look like and when will I be billed?

We maintain a 30-day cycle for billing. As long as you maintain an active subscription, you will be billed on a recurring basis, on the same day that your full subscription began. Please check your specific agreement terms.  If you want more information on this, or if you wish to clarify any details, please reach out via our contact page.

Why is my billing on a monthly basis?

DigitalHoney has a subscription model, which includes month-to-month billing. So when you have an active subscription, you'll receive a monthly bill. In order for you to make and manage your digital marketing requests on an ongoing basis, we require you to have an active subscription. If you have any concerns about your billing, please contact your Project Manager.

How hard is it to cancel the subscription?

Not hard at all. We keep things simple at DigitalHoney. Just email your Project manager. You can cancel at any point in time, depending on your specific agreement terms.  If you have time left on your subscription, you just need to pay for those remaining months.  Need a hand with this?  Just ask.  There is only one thing that we will ask: “What could we have done better?” We ask, because we value your feedback.

What happens to my website if I want to cancel a website design & management annual subscription?

If you choose to cancel your subscription after any given year then your website domain would be unassigned from the site and the site would be taken offline. If you would like to assume ownership of the website and keep it online, then a buyout equal to your annual subscription cost is required. This would be a one time payment of $1,500, $2,500, or $3,500 depending on your tiered subscription. After this occurs, the website ownership would be transferred to you.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can simply email your Project Manager and will have to adhere to the terms of your specific agreement.  There is only one thing that we will ask: “What could we have done better?” We ask, because we value your feedback.

Can I get a refund if I haven't used my account recently?

We do understand that your workflow will change from time to time, and this is why we make it possible for you to cancel at any time. At DigitalHoney, every scope of work and specific agreement terms can potentially vary depending on needs.  We do not offer refunds due to inactivity. Please thoroughly read the written agreement for each project or scope of work.

Genral FAQ

Can I get a discount if I get multiple subscriptions?

Absolutely. We offer a 10% discount when you add 3 more subscriptions to your account. Just keep in mind that this offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offers.

How do the subscriptions work?

We work on your requests on a first-come, first-served basis. They are entered into your design team’s queue in the order that they are received. Your team then works on delivering them.  On average you'll receive designs or writing in 24-48 hours.  If you've got a more complex task, let us know and we'll provide an estimate on how long it'll take.

How many tasks will my team work on each day?

If you need a higher volume of outputs, and faster turnarounds, you can add on additional scopes of work.  As your team completes tasks you'll see them shift from being "In Progress" to "In Review" and you'll see new requests getting started.

Do you have different tiers of service?

At DigitalHoney, we aim to keep things simple.  We customize our marketing agreements exactly to your needs depending on what you are looking to accomplish.

Which service is right for my business?

Schedule a call with our team.  We can learn about what your goals are and what you are trying to accomplish.  From there, we will align you to the best fit for your requirements and budget.

If a request is especially time-sensitive, you can indicate this when submitting your request details. We’ll do our best to bump it up in the queue and advise you of the delivery time.

How Many requests can I submit at a time?

You can submit an unlimited number of requests. Your dedicated Project Manager will review them, to ensure we have all the details required, and then assign them to your design team. By default, your requests will be completed in the order you submit them. But if you ever need to change the order, or prioritize a certain task, or tasks, you can do so by letting our Project Manager know.  We get it. Sometimes priorities shift and deadlines change. So we're happy to be as flexible as possible to help you meet yours.

What details should my design request include?

Include these details every time for the best results: size, orientation, format (print, digital or video), preferred colors, inspiration designs, and text copy. If it's a video request include your preferred style of background music as well!  The more descriptive you can be, the fewer revisions will be required.

There are two ways you can make requests.  One way is through our task management software Trello.  The other is via email to your Project Manager.

How many brands can I submit requests for?

How do I get revisions completed?

Your dedicated design team will take care of your design, from first-draft to final product. And all the revisions you need. Just let them know the details of the revisions required, via email or your Trello board.

Yes, which send via Docusign or email.

General FAQ

IP & Confdentiality

IP & Confidentiality

Do you use design templates?

At DigitalHoney, we deliver custom designs, created from scratch, or designs that are a combination of custom design and customized stock elements. The particular format just depends on what will provide the best output for the client's brief.  When using any stock elements, we ensure that they are licensed appropriately so that you may use them as the end-user (i.e. not for resale).  In cases where clients require designs for resale, we deliver completely custom designs. So be sure to let your Project Manager know how your designs will be used when making your requests!

Can I resell any of the designs or copywriting DigitalHoney creates for me?

If you would like to resell any of the designs that your DigitalHoney team creates for you, please be sure to let your Project Manager know when making your design request. Your team will then create your design from scratch, so that you have full rights to sell your design.  For all of your other design requests, where you'll be the end-user, and you will not be reselling your design, your team will either create the design from scratch and/or use stock elements or photos, as needed to meet the requirements of your brief.  Just remember, we double-check every element and stock photo we use, to make sure you’re granted the licenses for them. And we are assuming materials you provide to us are licensed and owned by you. If you do happen to send DigitalHoney unlicensed materials to use, remember we are not held liable for the rights of the final design.

Where does DigitalHoney get stock photos, videos, animations, fonts, icons, and elements from?

We scour the internet for the best options for fonts, photos, icons, videos, animations, and elements. We use a lot of reputable free resources.  Whatever the source, we ensure that each element grants the appropriate license for you to use it, as part of your design, as the end-user. If, however, you plan to use your design for resale, please do let us know and we can make sure your design only includes elements that are appropriate for that.

Are things kept confidential?

We never disclose details about our clients. We do however share some of the designs we create for you in our portfolio. If you'd prefer not to have your designs included in our samples, please do let us know by emailing your Project Manager.

Who owns the rights to the designs created by DigitalHoney?

It would be you, unless there is an outstanding invoice or a default in payment.  Additionally, in regards to web design scopes of work, there is a one-year fee to retain ownership of your website after terminating the agreement.  If you do not buy out the website, then domain ownership will be returned to you and DigitalHoney will take down the website.  You retain the rights to all the designs created by DigitalHoney for you during your paid subscription. If you would like to resell any of the designs that your DigitalHoney creates for you, please be sure to let your Project Manager know when making your design request. Your team will then create your design from scratch, so that you have full rights to sell your design.  For all of your other design requests, where you'll be the end-user, and you will not be reselling your design, your team will either create the design from scratch and/or use stock elements or photos, as needed to meet the requirements of your brief.  Just remember, we double-check every element and stock photo we use, to make sure you’re granted the licenses to use them as the end-user. And we are assuming materials you provide to us are licensed and owned by you. If you do happen to send Digital Honey unlicensed materials to use, remember we are not held liable for the rights of the final design.

What should I do if my team is having trouble understanding my ideas?

We offer unlimited revisions because we want you to get exactly what you need. But, at times, there can be a disconnect between what you imagine and what you get.

If you find yourself in that spot, here’s what we recommend:

  1. Review your requests: Sometimes a request is missing details or not as clear as it could be. Try providing additional references and details in your revision requests.

  2. Give your designer detailed feedback: Let your designer clearly know what they’ve missed. They’ll work as quickly as possible to have your design revised.

Digital Honey Tip: After attempting steps 1 and 2, if you find that your design is still falling short, shoot us an email your project manager.  We'll review the issue and work to find you a resolution as quickly as possible.

Requesting Revisions

On Trello: Comment, drag, and drop.  Just add the details of the revision required in the comment.  Then move the relevant card from the "In Review" or "Completed" list to the "Requests" list.

On Email: Respond with the details of the revision required

Prioritizing Requests

When you’re making multiple requests, be sure to order your cards according to priority.

Requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, from the top down on Trello. So, if you’re posting multiple requests at the same time, make sure the order of your cards reflects which tasks should be completed first.

Via email please be sure to mention if a particular task is a priority.

  • Lists for each stage of the design process

  • An Activity Feed where you can see all of the activity that has taken place on your board

New Requests:

To make a request simply create a new card in the "Requests" list. Include a detailed description and add any relevant attachments.

DigitalHoney Tip:

Prioritizing Your Requests:

When you’re making multiple requests, be sure to order your cards according to priority. Requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, from the top down. So, if you’re posting multiple requests at the same time, make sure the order of your cards reflects which tasks should be completed first.

Revision Requests

Requesting revisions is a simple, 2-step process.

  • Add the details of the revision required in the comments section of the relevant card.

  • Move the relevant card from the "In Review" list to the "Requests" list. The sooner you do this, the sooner we work on your revision request.

Adding Brand Guidelines

You can add your brand guidelines to the "Guidelines" list to make the design process more efficient. Add a new card for each brand you will be requesting designs for. And be sure to include as many details as possible (logos, color palettes, style guides or style references, inspiration images, and designs). We want to know it all!

Inviting team members to view your board

Work as part of a team and need to give others access to your designs? You've got it.

Just let us know your team members' preferred emails or their existing Trello usernames, if they already use Trello. We'll then invite them to help you make and manage design requests.

Pausing & Cancelling Requests

Pausing a request is easy. Simply comment on the relevant card to let your designer know that the request should be paused until you confirm.

Cancelling a request is simple too. If you need to cancel a request, just comment on the relevant card to let your designer know that the request should be cancelled.

Setting Up Notifications

You can set up notifications for individual tasks by opening the relevant card and selecting “Watch”.

If you’d like to set up notifications for an entire list, simply click on the 3 dots beside the list name and select “Watch”.

Notifications will alert you to:

  • All comments from other users

  • Adding, changing, and upcoming due dates

  • Card moves and archives

  • Attachments uploaded to a card (or all cards in a list if you've turned on notifications for a list)

    • Digital Honey Tip: Click on the bell icon, at the top right corner of your board to control the frequency of your notification emails and to turn on/off desktop notifications.

Duplicating Requests

Duplicate requests easily by opening up a card, and selecting “copy” under “actions”.

You’ll be prompted to create a new card title, and to select the board and list to which the card should be added. The board will be your Digital Honey board of course, and the list will be the "Requests" list.

You can then prioritize the request by selecting its position in the "Requests" list.
